Cannas are known for providing head-turning color all summer. When even the weeds are wilting on the hottest summer days, cannas will still be blooming. But what about when those big, beautiful blooms are no longer attractive?
One easy step is all it takes to remove spent canna blooms. Tidy up your cannas with a quick snip just below the spent bloom head. If you cut further down, you will accidentally cut out future blooms that are developing within the stalk. You cannot yet see them, but they are there!
