š¦ Shipping Update
Shipping is back on track! We are thankful for normal temperatures after being in a deep freeze last week. If you missed last week's email, we had several days of single-digit temperatures that prohibited us from getting cannas to you.
Fortunately, we can officially start shipping the first orders of 2025 this week. All delayed orders from last week will ship on 2/24. You will receive an email with your tracking number.
š± Planting Tips
Planting at the right time is the first step to ensure happy, healthy, and blooming cannas. Planting too early can lead to rotting, delayed growth, or fewer or no blooms.
We recommend using soil temperatures to choose your ship date and when to plant. You can plant cannas outdoors once soil temperatures are consistently 60°F. We like using this interactive soil temperature map. Enter your zip code to see the current soil temperature, a 5-day average, and historical trends.
š Planting Zones
Zone 9: February is usually a great time to plant cannas in areas such as Arizona, Southern California, Florida, and Southern Texas.
Zone 8: Gardeners can usually start planting in mid-March in cities such as Charlotte (NC), Atlanta (GA), San Francisco (CA), Chattanooga (TN), Dallas (TX), Salem (OR), and Carlsbad (NM).
